Student Award 2012

Mr. Mehmani, during the InterPore2012 conference, a PhD candidate at the Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering Department, the University of Texas at UT Austin, is advised by Dr. Maša Prodanović. He presented a poster entitled “Investigating gas permeability in shales using multi-physics and multi-scale network modeling”, which is co-authored by Drs. Prodanović and Javadpour of UT Austin. Gas and oil shale are the focous of intensive research around the globe due to their energy resource potential. Yet, their petrophysical and transport properties are not well understood.
