Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Lectureship Award

  Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Lectureship Award

Each year, InterPore will select a porous media researcher with an esteemed international recognition and excellent presentation skills, who works on a broad range of porous media topics, as the “InterPore Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Lecturer on Porous Media Science & Technology”. The Lectureship award is sponsored by a generous gift from Kimberly-Clark Corporation to InterPore Foundation. The awardee will share a topic relevant to the industrial porous media community through a series of lectures at various member and non-member organizations.

The Awardee will be selected by the InterPore Foundation at the recommendation of a selection committee. Nominations should be submitted to nomination@interpore.org. The nomination letter (maximum length two pages) should describe specific contributions of the nominee to porous media research during the last 10 years (not counting the current year) and end with a citation statement; an example: “this nominee has made outstanding contributions to the physics of transport in porous media in several fields, such as non-newtonian fluid flow, drying and imbibition, colloidal transport, mass transfer in wood, and the use of NMR for imaging.

Self-nominations are not accepted.

Once the awardee is selected, member and non-member organizations are invited to submit an application form to be considered as a host to the lecturer.

The award consists of a certificate, a complimentary registration for the next InterPore conference so that the award can be presented in person, and an InterPore rosette.

Deadline for submission of complete nomination package: December 1st of each year.
