Call for Contributions: The WikiPore Software Catalogue

Using and developing software is an integral part of most scientists’ daily work and porous media research is no exception here. We employ and write software for pretty much everything ranging from digitizing a real porous sample to evaluating the results of simulating the flow through it. But what software is out there to accomplish the individual tasks in our research workflows? The WikiPore Software Catalogue is here for helping you find the right software packages for any research question related to porous media.

Since the announcement of the new WikiPore in July 2021, the InterPore team has worked hard on optimizing the catalogue part. It has been freshly equipped with a few entries and is hopefully ready for production. We rely on you, the InterPore community, to make the catalogue a success and useful for our researchers. We heartily invite you to pick your favorite software packages dedicated to porous-media research and upload contributions to the catalogue: Please login to MY INTERPOREand click on Submit WikiPore Software to add a new entry.

We welcome all contributions of software packages focusing explicitly on porous-media applications, not necessarily general-purpose packages like word processing products. Please don’t hesitate to submit suggestions for improvement to Bernd Flemisch.
