InterPore Honors Three Recipients with Inaugural Invited Student Paper Award
InterPore is proud to announce the first recipients of the InterPore Journal Invited Student Paper Award from InterPore Journal, launched alongside the journal itself in the summer of 2023. This new award celebrates exceptional student presentations at the InterPore Annual Meeting that lead to high-quality, peer-reviewed publications.
Following the 2024 Annual Meeting, nine students were invited to submit manuscripts based on the strength of their presentations. Of these, three have now been selected to receive the award:
- Tatiana Danelon, Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, for her paper “Modeling Nanoparticle-Stabilized Foam Flow in Porous Media Accounting for Particle Retention and Permeability Reduction.” https://doi.org/10.69631/ipj.v2i1nr57
- Philip J. Salter, University of Strathclyde, UK, for his paper “The Influence of Density Driven Mixing Mechanisms on Ureolysis Induced Carbonate Precipitation.” https://doi.org/10.69631/ipj.v2i1nr59
- Jingqi Lin, China University of Petroleum (East China), for his paper “Anchored Physics-Informed Neural Network for Two-Phase Flow Simulation in Heterogeneous Porous Media.”
The announcement was made at the recent InterPore Annual Meeting in Albuquerque. One of the winners, Tatiana Danelon, was present to accept her award in person during the award ceremony.

The first two papers have already been published in InterPore Journal (Issue 1/2025), and the third is scheduled for publication in the journal’s next issue.
Three additional papers from the invited group are still under review. The remaining awardees will be announced once the selection process is complete.
Congratulations to all current recipients of this inaugural award! Their research exemplifies the high standards and innovation that InterPore Journal seeks to highlight. We look forward to sharing their contributions and celebrating future winners at next year’s Annual Meeting.
