About the Hellenic InterPore Chapter

Hellas (Greece) is home to a significant number of scientists and engineers who are active in the research and study of porous media systems either from the perspective of material structure or from the perspective of physical/chemical processes taking place in-situ. We take the initiative to set up the Hellenic National InterPore Chapter (“HNIC”). We are creating a group of stakeholders active in fields associated to porous media systems. Researchers and engineers, operating in Greece as well as members from the Greek diaspora are welcome to join the group. Grad students are more than welcome. HINC will operate under the auspices of INTERPORE, the international parent organization. The scope is to foster collaboration and networking, enhance knowledge exchange and explore R&D synergies between stakeholders within the porous media scientific and industrial communities. We look forward to attracting young researchers from local academic and research institutions as well as scientists and engineers from the domestic and international industry.
