Jun’s research interest in porous media engineering is on energy storage, e.g. (under-surface) carbon/hydrogen storage, and electrochemical energy systems, including fuel cells and batteries. Jun is interested to develop simulation and modelling techniques, in tandem with machine learning and high-performance computing, to investigate the flow dynamics and transport phenomena inside multiscale, multiphysics porous media engineering applications. Jun is also interested to collaborate with colleagues with materials and solid mechanics background to develop research ideas to tackle interdisciplinary scientific challengess in the field of energy storage and electrochemical energy systems.
