Conference Grant Program
Each year, the InterPore Foundation for Porous Media Science and Technology (InterPore Foundation) offers conference grants to researchers from academic institutions in low- or middle-income (LMI) economies, as defined by the World Bank, and to graduate students from any country.
Two types of conference grants are available:
- Conference Registration Fee Waiver: covers the InterPore Conference registration fee.
- Full Conference Grant: covers the InterPore Conference registration fee plus up to €500 toward travel costs.
Applicants who only require a registration fee waiver are encouraged to select this option, allowing more of the available funding to support applicants who also need assistance with travel costs.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be presenting at the upcoming InterPore conference and hold a valid InterPore membership.
The application process can be done online via the link provided below, and must include a CV and a letter of justification.
After submitting your application form, you should receive a confirmation email within 5 days. If you do not receive it within that time, please contact Sandra Bartsch at sandra.bartsch@interpore.org.
Applicants from LMI economies who receive a Full Conference Grant may choose to use a portion of the €500 travel allowance to cover their InterPore membership fee. In this case, the amount available for travel costs will be reduced accordingly.
Please note that a Letter of Support is required for all student applicants.
The application process opens a few months before the event, with a dedicated committee evaluating submissions based on academic achievement and research abstract quality. Results will be announced by mid February.
Applications for InterPore2027 may be submitted until 15 January 2027 at 23:59. No applications will be accepted after this date.
